Even if you didn't ...

Justified if you didn't eccentric/wonk out complete anything in your lifespan, this is a diverting subculture to visit. The movie was really well jointly along the sort of aspirational lines you might see in documentaries like Pull John or Pumping Iron (armwrestling/bodybuilding respectively), in which people struggle on hoping to defecate information technology and you bother float along invisibly like a wraith for the journey. Errr ... not quite so dead. You know what I mean. A dress up maker trying to glint, a seller trying to sell, a couple of artists disagreeable to gain attention for the heart of their being, their bang of drawing and artistic creation ... it's pretty unfriendly and lively.

San Diego's ComiCon convention has come a long way, and the crazy propulsion into blockbuster movies incomparable after the other of Marvel Comics heroes like Spiderman, Thor, Iron Man, The Avengers, Black person Panther, and D.C.'s Wonder Woman and Batman has made the convention bigger than ever. So big that comics themselves are starting to be overshadowed by movies and TV expressions of the superhero stories that originally appeared in comics and had no place else to go. As being a nerd had become accepted in the culture kind of than reviled (thank you Bill Gates!) and the world turns toward the future day of tech and technocrats, the things they love, like the disorderly imagination of myth and legend expressed through comics -- has gone mainstream. And now everybody wants to get in on the act.

You'll construe that here, and it's pretty good. Why non love that people find something they love? Hither, it's comics and the imagination that has made them this day's common cultural currency. You'll have a diverting time watching this well-constructed flic, which shows multitude loving and struggling to be a part of the comic reality and all that it hath wrought -- and sometimes, succeeding. You'll cheer the ones who make information technology and ill-tempered your fingers for the ones who got close. IT feels good completely close to.

Spurlock Reveals All!

I thinking this film was superior, victimisation an consultation format to tell the real story about Comicon. I actually went to the 2010 show that Spurlock wont to document SDCC and I was surprised to figure myself in the exposure pit with others shot the Whole sle Effect cosplayers. Maybe I should get a residual.

The film follows some fans and their stories, what their goals are for the con and a nice wrap-up with what they actually achieved. I especially liked James and his girlfriend as He preconditioned to pop the question wedding to her at the Kevin Smith panel. Very sick, especially when she makes the comment "I hope James doesn't enquire any stupid questions." Indeed.

The clips from fans and actors was unfriendly as well. The Kevin Smith F-bombs at the end though, I could have done without.

I've been following Mile High Comics communicatory owner Chuck Rozanski for some sentence, since atomic number 2 in use to write for the instantly inoperative Comic Buyers' Guide. His insight into the comics business and acquiring in a free plug for Mile High was a clever business strike getting it all on film. Chuck is not totally precise that San Diego is not focused on comics.

They are right though that comics birth fallen to a secondary status with the A-list stars and Hollywood's impact on the show.

To have to show dial set a bit to deuce shows has been proposed, aka Anaheim and San Diego. Another alternative was for the Hollywood end to move on to Los Angeles.

Film is recommended and very sleazy on Amazon Instant TV, only 99 cents to rent!

A love letter

Amusing-Con Episode IV is the just about beautiful movie about fanboy culture I've ever add up crosswise. Morgan Spurlock has crafted this look into San Diego Mirthful-Con without the cynicism surgery supercilious most movies about comic book fans/cosplayers/D&D fans/etcetera tend to come with.

The motion picture follows few people and a couple of groups, particularisation what makes Comic-Con special to them. Some people are on that point for their careers, some people are there to nonplus plushy, some populate are there to get rare items for their collection, while many are there just for the bang of the art. Entirely valid reasons, and all attractively touched upon. Anticipate some celebrity cameos, too, explaining why they besides love Comic-Con.

One part of the movie they briefly touched on, just would have liked to have seen expanded, is how Comic-Con is less about Comics and more about fanboy culture in general now. That elaboration has brought many more people in to the show, while leaving others alienated.

I wish I could own this movie, but for now I'll settle for a renting. Thank you, Morgan Spurlock, for making everyone other sympathise the beauty of Comic-Yardbird.

It was just approve. Trite. I thought/hoped this was going to be the history of COMIC-CON, not individual storylines. I've seen that formula in overly many other documentaries. There is a great narrative as to how this conventionality has become the behemoth it is. Yes, I was happy for the talent that was disclosed and their success stories only I yearned-for the whole picture. I wanted to hear from the people WHO put out information technology together, many movie people, comic script companies and their CC stories, hoi polloi from the urban center of San Diego. What COMIC-CON has done for the metropolis of San Diego is unquestionable. I wanted more.
The Comic-Con story, in my persuasion, was non told in this documentary

Anything away "super size me" Morgan Spurlock is great. He does marvellous movies. You don't get wind his voice/narrator this prison term around but great problem in putting unneurotic the different mass/characters even LOL that go in an flatbottom like comic-yard bird. Entertaining see even if you are not geeky. Eager to see rear the scenes.

enjoyed IT

I enjoyed this. I hate the embodied side of Comic Con and what its become. This was more about the human side of IT. I used to attend Hustle in the early 80s and into the 90s when I worked in animation. But I am sour off by IT now.

Wonk girl required watch over

This is merriment even if you aren't a comic book lover. Tells the tale of those who attend the event every year for single reasons and what happens in each of their journeys. The downside to the funny-related explosion to the mainstream moving picture world is that some of the quaint parts of IT are gone and the echt timers who go tell that side of the history. It's true with anything I guess at one time big business and hollywood arrest a oblige of anything. Minus the new Avengers movie - although some would argue with that too. Oh yeah and Kevin Smith is in it. Know that!

Fun for some Comic Pattern fan or participant

I wished I had seen this BEFORE I had gone to a San Diego Comic-Rook rule, but I loved seeing it later as well. You get a better sense of what all goes on with the hardcore fans, artists and cosplayers. I bought the Kindle version and love to rewatch it. A good investment for Pine Tree State. This documentary too segways well into that television receiver series "The Heroes of Cosplay" which fascinates me, true though I am not a Cosplayer myself.
